A technology company working for the Victorian government, PNORS Technology Group, has been hacked, accessing sensitive personal data from its six government departments. This includes data from the Victorian school entrance health questionnaire, which collects information from primary school families about children’s behavioural issues and drug and alcohol use. However, security experts have reported that none of the stolen data has been released to the public. Paul Gallo, Chief Executive of PNORS, confirmed this statement and said the extent of the breach is still being investigated and they are working closely with authorities to assess its impact. Datatime and Netway, two businesses owned by PNORS, provide document and data capture and IT support for state government departments and other external clients.
